New outdoor lighting control accessories from TE Connectivity streamline assembly to lower applied cost and assembly time

LUMAWISE Endurance N+ provides an integrated solution and strategic design



TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is extending its LUMAWISE lighting product platform with the introduction of LUMAWISE Endurance N+ base and covers. In a market with increased regulations and strong competition, LUMAWISE Endurance N+ base and covers offer low-cost options with different heights that meet market requirements for ANSI C 136 network controls.

Cost-effective design

“TE’s new LUMAWISE Endurance N+ base and covers are strategically designed to reduce applied cost during the assembly process,” says Scott Hamilton, global product manager at TE Connectivity. “Our product incorporates an integrated gasket, where previously one needed to be purchased and applied separately.”

Key features and benefits

LUMAWISE Endurance N+ lighting control accessories include a NEMA/ANSI-certified base assembly and cover that provide an integrated solution, combining a power and signal interface between the lighting control and dimming receptacle. The assembled base and cover provide an IP66-rated control enclosure, helping to protect from harsh conditions including rain, snow and salt spray.

TE offers 3P, 5P and 7P base assemblies along with the option for a vent in the assembly. These products with an integrated gasket simplify the assembly process and lower overall applied cost for streetlight control manufacturers. TE also offers an assembled IP66 rated shorting cap for installers.

Additional benefits include:

> Signal contact layout allows larger creep distances compared to the previous generation.
> Simplifies assembly and decreases assembly time by incorporating an integrated gasket. The previous generation required a separate gasket applied by hand.
> The LUMAWISE Endurance N+ base and covers are well-suited for applications such as street and roadway lighting or commercial and campus outdoor lighting.
