Bourns Announces the Release of the Model PVG3 Series SMD Sealed Type Single-Turn Trimming Potentiometer Models PVG3A and PVG3G
2017-01-17 | ReturnRiverside, California - January 17, 2017 - As previously announced, Bourns entered into an agreement with Murata to acquire the assets of Murata’s trimming potentiometer product line. Bourns is pleased to offer the following trimming potentiometer series for immediate ordering. To ease the transition from Murata® products to Bourns-manufactured replacement products, Murata granted Bourns permission to use Murata part numbers on Bourns-produced replacement products. The replacement Bourns® products with
the Murata numerical part numbers will be manufactured to Murata specifications. Bourns’ standard warranty terms will apply to replacement Bourns® products based on Murata specifications.
Bourns is pleased to announce the most recent release, the Model PVG3 Series SMD Sealed Type Single-Turn Trimming Potentiometer. This model comes in two different pin styles, J-hook (Model PVG3A) and gullwing (Model PVG3G). This series is RoHS compliant*, and can operate from -55 °C to +125 °C. It has a power rating of 0.25 watts at 70 °C. The rotational life for this trimmer is specified at 50 cycles. The Model PVG3 series is a 3 mm SMD trimmer. Models PVG3A and PVG3G are sealed and are designed to have high heat resistance performance for high temperature peak reflow soldering which protects the product during the manufacturing process. These features make the trimmer products well suited for small sensors, printers/ copiers, optical transceiver modules and compact power supplies.
