November 25, 2015 -- Pulse Electronics Corporation, a leading provider of electronic components, introduces a new series of G.Fast transformers, BX4503NL and BX4504NL, for high speed broadband communication for Customer Premise Equipment, G.Fast modems., supporting 1Gb/s ultra broadband internet access. These transformers are compliant for use with the Sckipio SCK1001/DFE and the SCK1002/AFE chipsets. They both have ultra low leakage inductance and coupling capacitance, allowing data rates up to 1Gb/s upstream on a single line. This results in superior performance and enables copper to reach its full potential providing a solution for the continuing demand for higher bandwidth in this media thirsty world in which we live to-day.

The BX4503NL is mounted on a compact PCB based, low profile surface package but with a smaller X-Y dimension, 6.1mm x 6.2mm x 3.7mm (LxWxH). The transformer BX4504NL uses a very compact low profile surface mount package 6.7mm x 9.1mm x 3.7mm (LxWxH).

“As the functionality of modems increases, PCB real estate for modem designers continues to be a huge priority, as they continue to push the boundaries of very high speed broadband home communications to 1Gb/s and beyond” explained Ronan Kelly product manager for the Pulse Electronics Access Business Unit.

Pulse Electronics’ BX4503NL and BX4504NL transformers are packaged in trays and on tape and reel. These products are EN60950 functional isolation compliant, 250Vrms, and RoHS-6 compliant SMD products. Very competitive pricing is available starting just below $0.30, with a minimum order quantity of 10K units, and are available now with a production lead-time of 8 weeks, from order placement. Evaluation samples are available immediately.
