Elkhart, IN – October 13, 2015 – CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS), through its subsidiary, CTS Electronic Components, Inc. introduces the latest surface-mount RF Bandpass Filter for use in LTE-U (unlicensed) and LTE-LAA (licensed assisted access). The CTS UPB550A Bandpass Filter has an impressive 0.7dBtypical and <1.0dB worst case insertion loss, while providing >= 50dB rejection across all the major FDD bands. This would enable it to meet the receive sensitivity requirements when co-located with any basestation power class. It is rated for 2W average and 20W peak input power, thereby supporting the full 1W at the antenna allowed for LTE-U/LTE-LAA.

As the most recent member of the universal-footprint family of bandpass filters and duplexers, the UPB family, in a common PCB layout, supports all of the major TDD bands including bands 40, 41, 42, 43 in a compact footprint of 10.2mm long ceramic monoblock.

In addition to the UPB550A, CTS has other filters and variants which support UNII sub-bands, 5GHz ISM, or 802.11p including support for systems requiring multiple co-located 5GHz sub-bands.
