IDT Introduces Ultra-High-Performance Clock Jitter Attenuator and Frequency Synthesizer Products
2015-09-30 | ReturnSAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 30, 2015—Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI) today introduced jitter attenuator and frequency synthesizer devices that deliver ultra-high performance meeting the phase noise requirements of the most stringent applications, including JESD204B-compliant RF timing. The 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 support up to 3 GHz output frequencies, as well as 82 femtoseconds of RMS phase noise, addressing the requirements of multi-carrier GSM radio transceivers as well as 40 and 100 Gb Ethernet PHYs and other high-performance applications.
The 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 generate clock and SYSREF signals forJESD204B subclass 1-compliant ADC/DAC converters in wireless, industrial and radar applications. These devices output multiple high-performance synchronized clocks that are also ideal for high-speed Ethernet and cable TVhead-end applications.
For wireless communications, the devices enable compliance with GSM phase noise and blocker specifications without external filters. For 40/100 GbE PHYs, the 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 generate low phase-noise clocks that reduce bit error rates and achieve reliable transmission.
“IDT’s new jitter attenuator and frequency synthesizer devices simplify complex RF timing designs,” said Louise Gaulin, vice president and general manager of IDT’s Network Communications Division. “These highly integrated devices replace multiple VCOs and discrete components and are ideal for applications requiring best-in-class phase-noise performance.
The devices offer a wide output frequency range from25 MHz to 3000 MHzand LVDS and LVPECL outputs with adjustable amplitudes. The 8V19N407 supports Ethernet frequencies, making it suitable for timing 40G and 100G Ethernet PHYs while the8V19N408 includes dual voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) offering frequency plan flexibility.
The 8V19N407 and 8V19N408 jitter attenuator and frequency synthesizer products are available now. They come in a 10 x 10 mm 72-VFQFN package.
