Vishay Intertechnology’s UMB 0207 MELF Resistor Receives EDN China 2015 Innovation Award in Passive Components Category

MALVERN, Pa. — July 17, 2015 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that its UMB 0207 series of ultra-precision thin film MELF resistors has won an EDN China 2015 Innovation Award. The UMB 0207received a Leading Product Award in the Passive Components category at an award ceremony on June 25 in Shanghai. Senior sales manager Dennis Tang was on hand to receive the award on behalf of Vishay.

The EDN China Innovation Awards were introduced in 2005 to recognize achievements in the design of ICs and related products in the Chinese market. They have steadily grown to become one of the China Mainland’s most anticipated and respected accolades for the electronics design industry. This year, 161 products from 102 companies entered the Product Awards in 14 categories. Finalists were shortlisted by EDN China analysts, and winners were selected through online voting, expert judging, and analyst evaluation.

Offered in the standard 0207 case size, the UMB 0207 features a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) down to ±5 ppm/K, a resistance range from 100 Ω to 390 kΩ with tolerances down to ± 0.02 %, high operating voltage of 350 V, rated power dissipation to 400 mW at +70 °C, and excellent long-term stability down to < 0.02 % after 1,000 hours. Suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems, the devices are completely Green — lead (Pb)-free, halogen-free, and RoHS-compliant without exemptions.
