Speed & Efficiency: MCC’s 200V-600V 2A Super-Fast Recovery Rectifiers
2024-12-20 | ReturnMeet MCC’s family of 2-amp super-fast recovery rectifiers designed to minimize energy losses in high-frequency applications. With voltages from 200V to 600V, UG2DHL, UG2GH, and UG2JHL deliver impressive reverse recovery times of 25 or 35 nanoseconds.
Low forward voltage and a low reverse leakage current of only 5 µA enhance their outstanding efficiency.
Stable operation across diverse market segments is assured thanks to glass-passivated junction technology, a junction-to-lead thermal resistance of 20 °C/W, and a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 80 °C/W.
Responsiveness in power conversion and a low gate charge enable rapid switching, making them ideal for challenging conditions found in motor drives and renewable energy applications.
Housed in a low-profile SOD-123HL package, these FREDs are optimal when design space is limited and enhanced thermal performance is crucial.
Features & Benefits:
Glass-Passivated Junction Technology: Enhances reliability and performance
Wide Voltage Selection: Ideal for diverse applications, with 200V, 400V, and 600V options
Forward Current Rating (IF): 2A (average) enables high-power handling and efficient power transfer
Thermal Resistance (Junction-to-Lead): Rth(JL) = 20 °C/W provides optimal heat dissipation
Thermal Resistance (Junction-to-Ambient): Rth(JA) = 80 °C/W provides exceptional overall thermal performance
Reverse Leakage Current (IR): Low IR of only 5µA delivers efficient operation
Super-Fast Reverse Recovery Time (trr): Impressive 25 ns (for UG2DHL and UG2GHL) and 35 ns (for UG2JHL) recovery times reduce switching losses, crucial for high-frequency applications
Low-Profile Package: Compact SOD-123HL package empowers design flexibility
Product highlights
MCC’s 2A FREDs offer the total performance package in a compact SOD-123HL housing — from outstanding thermal properties and reliable operation to super-fast switching with low losses.
1. Enhanced Energy Efficiency
With an exceptional reverse recovery time of just 25 or 35 nanoseconds, MCC’s rectifiers minimize power losses during operation, improving energy efficiency in various applications.
2. Compact Design
Their low-profile SOD-123HL package allows for integration into smaller circuit designs and space-constrained applications without having to compromise performance.
3.High Reliability
With advanced glass-passivated junction technology, our rectifiers ensure consistent performance and reliability, reducing the risk of failure and extending the lifespan of electronic components.
4.Effective Thermal Management
Impressive thermal resistance ratings of Rth(JL) = 20 °C/W and Rth(JA) = 80 °C/W enable effective heat dissipation, allowing these rectifiers to handle higher currents efficiently and maintain stability in demanding environments.
