Description
Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has developed the AK5704VN, a low-latency 4-channel 32-bit A/D converter (ADC) with a built-in low-noise microphone amplifier.

The AK5704VN's multi-channel input capabilities are well-suited for microphone arrays, and its low latency makes it ideal for automotive audio applications such as echo cancellation, beamforming, and noise reduction.

The 4mm x 4mm wettable flank-plated QFN package provides the enhanced reliability required for automotive products.

Samples are available now, with mass production shipments scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

Features

5/fs low-latency digital filter enables highly accurate real-time voice processing
- Equipped with Low-latency digital filters for noise cancellation, echo cancellation, beamforming, and other voice processing.
- Only 5/fs of group delay enables highly accurate real-time processing.

TDM output supports up to 16-channel microphone arrays
- The AK5704VN's TDM output capability supports a cascaded connection of up to four devices.
- At four channels per device, a 16-channel microphone array may be constructed.

105dB of dynamic range enables high-resolution capture and processing
- Equipped with 4-channel ADC with 32-bit resolution and 105dB dynamic range.
- 192 kHz sampling rate supports wideband microphones.

Application
- Digital cockpit
- Head unit
- Amplifier unit
