NICHICON Develops the UBR Series of Lead Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors with High Temperature and Long-Life Assurance(Guaranteed for 5,000 hours at 125°C)

NICHICON CORPORATION has developed the UBR series of lead type aluminum electrolytic capacitors with high temperature and long-life assurance (guaranteed for 5,000 hours at 125°C). Characteristics which are　increasingly required in power supplies for communication base stations.

　NICHICON will exhibit this product at TECHNO-FRONTIER 2024 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 24 to 26.

Overview and Development Background

　In power supplies for communication base stations, the internal temperature of the power supplies is rising due to the higher output caused by the higher density of component mounting and the increase in data communication volume. As a result, capacitors with higher temperature ratings are required. With the increase in small base stations, there is a demand for long-life products that are maintenance-free. To meet these market needs, NICHICON has developed the UBR series of lead type aluminum electrolytic capacitors which is guaranteed for 5,000 hours at 125℃.

Features

　The UBR series is based on the Company’s accumulated technologies. It realizes long life for high-temperature by using large-capacity electrode foil and highly durable electrolyte. As a result, the UBR series has achieved a life span 2.5 times longer than the existing the UBT Series (450V rated).
