Luminus’ New RGBL Color-mix LED Technology Boosts Color Rendering in Stage and Architectural Fixtures

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 15, 2024, Luminus Devices proudly introduces a groundbreaking series of 4-in-1 RGBL (Red-Green-Blue-Lime) LEDs designed for stage and architectural lighting systems that require high high-output color mixing with high color-rendering index (CRI). With minimal spacing between individual emitters, the 4-in-1 RGBL LED delivers unmatched color mixing capabilities, providing lighting designers with an extensive palette to create captivating visuals. The Lime (570 nm dominant wavelength) channel replaces the cool white LED used in the traditional 4-in-1 LED to enlarge the color space while improving brightness. These LEDs boast best-in-class lumen output at maximum current while maintaining a high CRI of over 85, ensuring brilliant illumination across the entire color temperature range from 3000K to 8000K. All channels can be driven up to 3A and 100% DC,allowing for high lumen output with uncompromised reliability.

RGBL LEDs At-A-Glance

• Custom RGBL provides brightness improvement (typically 20%) and CRI (+ 5 to +10) improvement over mainstream RGBW LEDs
• Includes ceramic phosphor technology for better reliability
• High system color uniformity: Narrow wavelength bins of less than 6 nanometers for RGB channels and tight color space (CIEx, CIEy bin) for the Lime channel
• Designed with a standard footprint (4768 SMT), making them easily replaceable 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs in existing fixtures, offering a seamless product upgrade
