Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany – After expressing so much interest at last year’s Automechanika, end users and workshops can now look forward to installing the new LED retrofit lamps from ams OSRAM. The OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER™ LED SPEED H7 is impressive for its extremely simple installation, its bright white light, excellent durability and 60 percent lower energy consumption¹.

The OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER™ LED SPEED H7 was unveiled for the first time at last year’s Automechanika, the leading international automotive trade fair in Frankfurt, and was an instant success. This new LED retrofit solution from ams OSRAM is now available in stores, adding more models to the long list of compatible vehicles. The lamps are suitable as replacements for traditional H7 lamps and bases and can be installed quickly and easily thanks to their special geometry. Their design is virtually identical to that of conventional halogen lamps, so there is no need for adapters or caps – a truly practical plug-and-play solution for the end user. This is made possible by the innovative electronics and the very small fan, which is part of the lamp’s innovative thermal management system, delivering stable luminous flux and uniform light distribution. The bright white light of up to 6000 Kelvin ensures ideal visibility for drivers and other road users – not least thanks to the 50 percent reduction in glare². Its long service life and 60 percent lower energy consumption¹ make the new LED retrofit solution not only cost-effective but also environmentally friendly.

Lamp replacement: simple, inexpensive, quick
Upgrading from halogen to OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER™ LED SPEED is fairly straightforward so anyone with a reasonable level of competence can do it, or it can be done the next time the car is being serviced. ams OSRAM is constantly working on wider approval of all the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER™ LED series – the full list of compatible vehicle models is available here. ams OSRAM now offers ten approved LED lamp types for over one thousand vehicle models.

ams OSRAM Automotive commits to sustainable packaging
ams OSRAM is working hard to improve sustainability by continually developing its products to achieve greater energy savings and longer service lives. In line with its commitment to the responsible use of finite resources, ams OSRAM Automotive has now also begun to replace the packaging for its entire retrofit lamp portfolio in the automotive lighting sector with eco-friendly alternatives. The new cartons are 100 percent plastic-free. They are made of recycled materials and are fully recyclable.
