FN9274 - TWO MOPP COMPLIANT IEC INLET EMC FILTERS FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS

The new FN9274 filter family is specially tailored for medical applications particularly where higher level of patient protection is required.
The so-called Two MOPP requirement (Means of Patient Protection) according to IEC / EN 60601-1 is achieved without any additional design measures.
The FN9274 filters use C18 inlet receptacles without an earth pin (according to IEC 60320). They are compatible with C17 V-Lock locking power cords to avoid accidental disconnection of power.
The new FN9274 inlet filter series are available in 3 mounting configurations, front panel mount, rear panel mount and snap-in fit. There are also 2 termination styles available for each configuration, Fast-on and wire leads.
FN9274 series complements Schaffner’s existing portfolio of IEC filters which have successfully served the medical industry for many years. All FN92xxB and FN92xxEB models add no leakage current to medical systems; thereby maintaining safety in critical environments.

Typical applications are to be found in intensive care environments or audio/video equipment.
All new filters are designed for a maximum continuous operating voltage of 250VAC, 50 / 60Hz and for nominal currents up to 15A. They have worldwide approvals in accordance with ENEC, CQC, UL and CSA and meet the requirements for RoHS and REACH regulation.
