GNSS Wideband & 1.2-GHz-band Low Noise Amplifiers

2022-07-28 | 返回

The main purpose of a Low Noise Amplifier or LNA is to amplify a weak low-power signal without significantly degrading its signal-to-noise ratio. Regular amplifiers often introduce some additional noise to the system. However, by using an electronic LNA, this noise can be significantly reduced. The NT1191 and NT1192 are the two newest LNA ICs of Nisshinbo Micro Devices and are added to the extensive portfolio of high-quality RF products. They are especially designed for high-precision GNSS receiver applications, such as GPS, GLONASS, COMPASS/BeiDou and Galileo. Targeted applications are for example car/personal navigation systems, dashboard cameras, tracking devices, drones, automotive antennas, base stations, GNSS modules to name a few.

Our range of LNA ICs improve receiver sensitivity and thereby achieve an excellent user experience. Our portfolio is frequently updated to satisfy the continuously changing market requirements with tailored products for each application.

The NT1191 is a wideband LNA operating in the entire GNSS band (1164 MHz to 1610 MHz), whereas the NT1192 is for the GNSS L5/L2/L6 band (1164 MHz to 1300 MHz).

Both products provide high gain, a low noise figure and integrated ESD protection on each port. An additional control pin is present to turn the IC in a standby mode to minimize current consumption, ideal for battery-operated mobile devices.

The NT1191 and the NT1191 require only two external components. NT1191 is available in a DFN1616-6-GE package with dimensions of 1.6 x 1.6 x 0.78 mm. The wettable flanks improve solderability and provide better automated optical inspection.

The NT1192 has a more compact EPFFP6-FA package with dimensions of 0.7 x 1.1 x 0.37 mm.
