Toshiba Launches High-Current Photorelays in Small 6-pin SOP Package for Factory Automation and Industrial Applications

2020-02-17 | Return
TOKYO—Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has released high-current photorelays with increased on-state current in small 2.54SOP6 packages for factory automation and industrial applications. The line-up includes “TLP3106A,” “TLP3107A” and “TLP3109A,” which deliver off-state output terminal voltages ranging from 30 to 100V, and a steady on-state current of 3.0 to 4.5A. Shipments start today.

The new photorelays integrate MOSFET devices fabricated with the latest[1] U-MOS process with a trench structure, which reduces on-resistance. This advance has made it possible to increase the on-current rating by approximately 13 to 50% compared to current products[2] in the market, contributing to easier replacement of 1-Form-A mechanical relays in numerous DC and AC applications. The new devices will also contribute to improved system reliability and to reducing the space needed for relays and relay drivers.

Applications
Factory automation(FA)
I/O interface board
Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC)
Security equipment
