Series 228 Illuminated Tact Switch Product Expansion

Lisle, IL – CTS Corporation has announced two Series 228 Illuminated tact switch models, 228D and 228E, to the 228 tact switch family for use in a variety of applications and industries. Model 228D is designed with a metal cover for right angle mounting which enhances the robustness of product intensity. Model 228E is designed with an IP67 seal for applications where moisture is prevalent, and a wide operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C. Both models come standard with an LED color display with a bi-color option, which is driven by switching action.

The Series 228 family of illuminated tact switches offer a variety of sizes and mounting configurations including SMT and through-hole styles. Single color, bi-color and tri-color options are available. Various standard LED colors are offered along with optional caps to suit specific applications. Standard switch life of 100,000 cycles is offered on all models and custom laser marking is available upon request. Applications can be found in many market segments including industrial, medical, audio equipment, and gaming accessories.
