Analog Devices Unveils Industry’s Most Advanced Biological and Chemical Sensing Interface IC

2018-06-27 | Return

Analog Devices, Inc. announced today a new sensor interface IC that enables the next generation of intelligent electrochemical sensors. As the only solution available to incorporate potentiostat and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) functionality on a single chip, the ADuCM355 precision analog microcontroller with bio-sensor and chemical sensor interface is an ideal solution for applications such as industrial gas sensing, instrumentation, vital signs monitoring and disease management. The device features the industrys most advanced sensor diagnostics, best-in-class low noise and low power performance, and smallest form factor. Compared to traditional discrete solutions, which pose limitations and require multiple ICs to achieve similar performance, ADIs new microcontroller platform offers increased reliability, utmost flexibility and significant cost savings.

Analog Devices’ new ADuCM355 uniquely combines the high performance, ultra-low power, small form factor and advanced feature set needed to enable next generation portable gas detectors,” said Jacob Spector, global marketing manager, Portable Gas Detection for Honeywell Industrial Safety. We are excited about the ability to leverage this platform solution to set new benchmarks in reliable gas detection while minimizing the cost of ownership for our customers.

PalmSens is committed to make electrochemistry easier, more portable and more accessible for customers,” said Niels van Velzen, CTO at PalmSens. ADIs ADuCM355 is at the heart of the new EmStat Pico, the worlds smallest general purpose Electrochemical Interface Module. EmStat Pico is a complete hardware and software design platform that allows measurement in minutes and is ideal for the development of portable, wearable and space constrained sensor applications.
