Iriver’s Portable Audio Player, the A&ultima SP1000 uses AKM’s Premium D/A Converter the AK4497EQ

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation's (AKM) premium audio DAC: the AK4497EQ has been adopted in iriver’s new portable audio player, the A&ultima SP1000 released on May 17, 2017.

The latest AK4497EQ dual-DAC design and the upgraded CPU in the A&ultima SP1000 allows for accurate playback of native 32-bit/384kHz audio with no compromise on sound quality. The A&ultima SP1000 also supports native bit-to-bit DSD playback up to 11.2MHz for the best sound possible.

The AK4497EQ is a new generation premium 32-bit DAC based on AKM SOUND QUALITY architecture that has been widely adopted by well-established high-end audio companies.
