Fujitsu announces its newest currency recycling and bulk note acceptor product, the GSR50, to be debuted at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Convention and Expo in New York City
2017-01-16 | ReturnDesigned on the principle of building blocks, the GSR50 base transport module can be configured with three recycling cassettes, able to recycle two denominations per cassette, up to 120 notes per cassette for a total of 6 denominations for a total of 360 recycled notes. This configuration would be ideal for retailers who want to automate or replace the cash till, where cash back is required at POS or till buys are required to continue normal store operations. To augment its capability, the GSR50 can be configured in up to 18 different combinations, including multiple recycle cassettes and a loading cassette with a capacity of up to 500 notes to increase capacities and deposit cassettes for end of day settlement or cash in-transit processing.
“The introduction of the GSR50 gives our OEM and integrator channel a truly differentiated cash handling offering when it comes to applications in the retail space,” says Randy Fox, vice president, currency handling & identity products solutions, Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. “The flexibility of GSR50 hardware configurations, on-board intelligence and newly developed integration software modules in middleware provides our OEMs with the value-add and speed to market they need to be successful in many verticals.”
In addition, the base transport module can also be configured with up to one, two or three 1,500 note deposit cassettes for a low cost, bulk note acceptor supporting a bundle of up to 50 mixed, used and new, paper and polymer notes. It is ideal for many high volume cash locations like convenience, grocery and drug stores and bill payment locations where cash handling costs are their highest. Each of the modules on the GSR50 includes a level of intelligence that enables customers to more closely monitor, diagnose and predict performance and service related conditions, lowering the overall cost of ownership.
Fujitsu’s entire product family of OEM currency handling products have the quality, reliability, and advanced feature functionality required to offer true value-add and control the up-front design and recurring product support / maintenance cost. Fujitsu offers OEM currency dispensers like the F50, F53, F56, F400, F510, and bulk currency acceptors and currency recyclers like the G60, G610/611, and the G750L , for a wide range of budget, volume and configuration requirements.
