Geolocation and time data from the GPS, BeiDou, GLOSNASS and Galileo satellite networks.

Global Positioning System (GPS) / Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) antennas enable tracking and position finding applications to access GPS/GNSS satellite constellations. Abracon offers a wide selection of GNSS/GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou solutions from small ceramic SMD chip antennas with linear polarization to circularly polarized directional patches and external antennas in different mounts. The various options allow flexibility to orient the antenna in the GNSS system to ensure higher location accuracy, improved reliability of lock-in urban areas, and better signal reception for standard and high-precision use cases. Abracon antennas combine ease of integration with reduced cost of implementation over a variety of wireless navigation device applications such as drones, GPS car positioning, fleet management, surveying, and mapping systems.

The antennas operating in L1/L2/L5/L6 frequency bands provide sub-meter-level to decimeter-level accuracies for geospatial data. This high-precision tracking capability makes antennas ideal for accurate positioning applications such as UAVs/drones, vehicle safety systems, and real-time kinematics (RTK) based systems. Abracon also offers high-gain and high-efficiency ceramic stacked patch antennas that offer superior signal processing and GPS accuracy for high-precision tracking applications.

SMD assembly is preferred over through-hole due to the lower cost, higher density, faster component placement, and availability of high-performance IC’s. The Abracon RJ45 product line offers 10Gbase-T and 1000Base-T SMD with a paste-in-hole assembly option. The pins conform to special clearances that allow for paste-in-hole which accommodates through-hole devices on SMD reflow product lines.
